Transition brings with it its own weird dreams, and this one was on Thursday (again?).
This time it was a police chase; having to lead a friend out of a residential area while it was being canvassed by riot polic, neighbourhood police, SWAT, security forces (those with rifles, mind you) and even... the traffic police?
The odd thing about this dream was the lack of a reason for the police to even arrest my friend in the first place. While I still can't remember the reason up till now, I do remember the chase; a long dodge-race across three rooftops, sliding down to the alleyway, then trying to blend into the crowd outside. I wasn't a wanted person, but I did remember my heart beating like mad.
It didn't take long for us to get to a gate; one of the police officers greeted me in a friendly manner and jokingly told me that he needed to search me, and I jokingly responded by holding up both hands. He laughed and waved me outside along with me friend, and damned I'll be since they had a photo of his face right next to the gate!
Once there it was a mad car chase; that part blurred into my memory, swiftly bringing me into a mad building with a locked chest on the top. Here the police were akin to mooks in a Mario game, including a segment where "Portal Madness" doesn't even begin to describe it, then a timed survival run against a 300-strong army of Creepers dressed in military-police wear, before going straight to a cooridor shoot-out that looked as though it came out of Halo: Combat Evolved and finally ending in a "last stage" where we had to bunny-hop up floating basketballs with Kobe Bryant, or a reasonably similar lookalike, chasing us using incredibly long arms and jumping power that would make Kick Hopper turn greener than he already was in envy. Fuck that shit, but that was the hardest Mario game ever played.
And the chest? Another of those god-damned "wake up during the climax" activation keys. Dammit.
